The Day That Will Last a Lifetime
May 24, 2008

Waiting to get inside

Three days came and went and students who attended the Campus Harvest Manila 2008 conference will definitely miss the fun, the excitement and relationships that got further established. The gates opened at 1 pm for the last day of activities that ended early in the evening. Aside from the talk, the singing and the screaming, all the students witnessed the very first battle of the bands, which saw music artists from the University Belt campuses winning the grand prize. The last day also saw students winning cool school prizes by calling in right answers using their mobile phones.

The final day of the conference also saw more hopes being built as delegates prayed and sang songs to each other for a full hour. This gesture of humility and generosity will forever be remembered by all attendees who seek more meaningful relationships from church and small group friends they have. But the highlight of this last day of the conference would be the messages coming from Ryan Tan, Dan Monterde, and Every Nation Campus Ministries Philippines Executive Director, LA Mumar. The three speakers didn’t waste time talking about obedience, faith and love for Jesus.

Like other campus harvest events, this year’s conference will go down to be memorable, if not the most memorable and meaningful conference a student will ever have. As more students get equipped, more doors will open for opportunities to raise future leaders from this generation. Only time can tell.

As days go by, may these images become more meaningful to those who discovered and continue to re-discover what Campus Harvest is for them. Mabuhay!
