Following is a report from Neil Bernardino, the lead pastor of our church in the San Francisco Bay Area:
After two years of transition, months of strategic planning and conducting preview services, Victory Church of the Bay Area officially launched its weekly worship services in September 2009.
Over a hundred people were in attendance at our launch, with several visiting from far away places like Los Angeles, California, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Boston, Massachusetts. It is very encouraging to see people from different ethnic backgrounds come together to experience God’s love!
Our church also meets during the week in small groups all around the bay Area. We envision the Bay Area folks from various backgrounds and ethnicity experiencing Christ’s transforming love through the church living out authentic faith in Christ. As of this writing, we have small groups in Downtown San Francisco, San Bruno and San Jose. We expect these to grow and expand to other places, that is why we are continuously in the process of developing our small group leaders so that they will be effective in leading and inspiring others to follow Christ.
We have only just begun in this exciting adventure and we will see even greater things ahead! Please continue to pray for us!

- Pray for wisdom and grace for Neil and Blanche in adjusting to San Francisco life and culture and in balancing family and ministry.
- Pray for provision, favor and unity for the core team of our church in the Bay Area.
- Pray for the proper training and equipping of the existing leaders to be effective in making disciples.
- Pray for more volunteers for the various church teams and activities.
- Pray for open doors and multiplication of the small groups.
- Pray for our church to be able to reach out to people of different culture and race.
